September 2013<br /> }}<br /> __NOTOC__<br /> Das Haus &#039;&#039;&#039;Brückenstraße 7&#039;&#039;&#039; wurde in den Jahren 1908/09 durch den Architekten [[Hermann Martini]] erbaut (vgl. auch die Gebäude [[Brückenstraße 5]], [[Brückenstraße 6|6]] und [[Brückenstraße 19|19]]). Das Gebäude ist weitestgehend bis in die Details unverändert erhalten (dazu zählen Haustür, Treppe mit Laternenbaluster am Antritt, Treppenhausverglasung, Innentüren). Das originale Einfriedungsgitter gehört ebenfalls zum Denkmal.<br /> <br /> Das Gebäude ist ein aussagekräftiges Beispiel gut bürgerlicher Wohnkultur vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Es steht in einem Ensemble denkmalwerter Wohnhäuser, die bis auf eines alle zwischen 1905 und 1914 errichtet wurden, teils als herrschaftliche Mietshäuser, teils als großzügige Einfamilienhäuser mit Büro- bzw. Praxisräumen der Eigentümer im Erdgeschoss.<br /> <br /> == Baudenkmaleintrag ==<br /> Die erst nach der Jahrhundertwende angelegte Brückenstraße liegt in der Nachbarschaft zur Altstadt von Hamm. Die Grundstücke der nördlichen Straßenseite (mit ungeraden Hausnummern) grenzten ursprünglich bis an das Ufer der [[Ahse]]. Aufgewertet wurde die Gegend seit dem Jahr 1894 durch den Bau des Oberlandesgerichtes am Friedrichsplatz (heute [[Theodor-Heuss-Platz]]), was sicherlich die Ansiedlung gut situierter Bürger begünstigte. Aus diesen Zusammenhängen leitet sich der Denkmalwert des Hauses &#039;&#039;Brückenstraße 7&#039;&#039; ab, das aus stadtbaugeschichtlichen Gründen bedeutend für die Stadt Hamm ist.
