Prill als Einfamilienhaus mit Büronutzung im Erdgeschoss erbaut. Das in seiner Gestaltung noch stark dem Historismus verpflichtete Gebäude mit einigen Elementen von Jugendstildekoration ist weitgehend unverändert erhalten, wovon insbesondere die Raumdisposition, die Ausstattung mit Treppen und Türen sowie die teilweise schlichten Stuckrahmungen der Decken zeugen. Der Architekt Martini erbaute auch die Nachbarschaftshäuser [[Brückenstraße 5]], [[Brückenstraße 7|7]] und [[Brückenstraße 19|19]]. <br /> <br /> Das Gebäude ist ein aussagekräftiges Beispiel gut bürgerlicher Wohnkultur vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg. Es steht in einem Ensemble denkmalwerter Wohnhäuser, die bis auf eines alle zwischen 1905 und 1914 errichtet wurden, teils als herrschaftliche Mietshäuser, teils als großzügige Einfamilienhäuser mit Büro- bzw. Praxisräumen der Eigentümer im Erdgeschoss.<br /> <br /> == Baudenkmaleintrag ==<br /> Die erst nach der Jahrhundertwende angelegte Brückenstraße liegt in der Nachbarschaft zur Altstadt von Hamm. Die Grundstücke der nördlichen Straßenseite (mit ungeraden Hausnummern) grenzten ursprünglich bis an das Ufer der [[Ahse]]. Auch die Grundstücke auf der südlichen Straßenseite, zu denen das hier genannte Haus Nr. 6 gehört, boten großzügige Gartenlagen. &lt;br&gt;<br /> Aufgewertet wurde die Gegend seit dem Jahr 1894 durch den Bau des Oberlandesgerichtes am Friedrichsplatz (heute [[Theodor-Heuss-Platz]]), was sicherlich die Ansiedlung gut situierter Bürger begünstigte. &lt;br&gt;<br /> Aus diesen Zusammenhängen leitet sich der Denkmalwert des Hauses &#039;&#039;Brückenstraße 6&#039;&#039; ab.
